Breeding

Until 2011 Mosstrooper Collies has only bred two litters, one in 1975 and another in 1980. A third litter was planned for 2000 and it was because of that that we applied for our kennel name, Mosstrooper, in 1999; the name was approved that same year. ”Mosstroopers” were bandits that wreaked havoc in the Scottish border regions during the 1600s. Since the collie breed originates from those areas we thought it would be a fitting name.

In august 2011 litter number 3 was born in the kennel!
